Star Transport rips off their drivers!

First of all, their company has a revolving door, they cannot keep drivers.

They don't offer any type of competitive salary and they do not have a good benefits package. Whats worse?--They cheat you out of miles.
If you drive 900 miles @ $.28 pr mile they will cheat you out of 100-200 miles and say that they do not believe it would take 900 miles, always less. They go by their own mileage calculator, which is BS. This has happened countless times to countless drivers until the drivers decide that they cannot take it anymore and leave.

The Detention and Layover pay is something that a lot of the drivers never see. One man claims that he owed $1000 in back detention and layover that he fears he will never see.

Also, their are drivers who were not aware of the detention or layover and if you don't know then the company certainly won't tell you. And when the driver discovers this they are sorta shunned and told that they arent entitled to it or giveen the run around and will never see but bits and pieces of it.

Bottom line, I think this company is such a poor employer. Due to this company's lack of integrity to its own employees, the employees are not as eager to deliver to CAT on time and could care less about being fired.

Star Transport (out of Morton, IL) in order to have a successful business you have to make sure that your employees are satisfied. Ripping them off to get ahead isn't satifactory to anyone.
Take heed before you crash and burn because I know a lot of Brokers who would love to take that CAT contract and keep CAT satisfied as well as the people who delivers the loads to CAT.
